Biomes & Ecosystems

In Titan, there is a diversity of biomes that differs depending on your proximity to the equator. Because of the moon's thick atmosphere, the reverse greenhouse effect has made Titan's climate similar to that of Earth's during it's Carboniferous period.

Tropical Deciduous Forest:

- Located towards the center of the equator

- Land is surrounded by mountains around the coast, with a river that flows to a big lake.

- Area of volcanic activity

Mediterranean:

- Located northeast of the equator

- Consist of crystalline rock formations with little vegetation

- Has a seasonal methane rainfall

- Land uninhabited by people since their last war, when a Uranium Hexafluoride weapon tore the land, creating a marine sinkhole near the area.
